Third and final five man squad of Word Bearers Legionaries for my army. I don’t think I will ever fully assemble a marine ever again before painting it, been a nightmare!

No Word Bearers force is complete without it’s spiritual compass that is a Dark Apostle. And the new set kicks ass, so it was high time I got round to paint one!
I actually enjoyed painting the cultists he drags along with him more than I did the Apostle, still an amazing mini though.
This is the second, of three, small Chaos Space Marine squad for my Word Bearers. I have tried to keep up with the balance of quality and quantity with these guys. So have built them before painting them, and tried not to worry that they aren’t “as good as I can get them”.
Quick “boy band” pic with them on a white background! 😀
I have finally got round to painting the New Fabius Bile model. He has been a bit of a favourite of mine since the Mark Gibbons artwork (posted at the bottom of this article).
I wanted to achieve a contrast on this model between Fabius’ skin coat, and his own actual flesh. He is so riddled with the Blight, that I wanted his flesh coat to have a more vibrant skin colour than his living flesh. It’s a great new model and a lot of fun to paint. I would have liked some faces on his skin coat, but that’s my one and only small gripe!
I don’t get much time to paint this time of year, but I have managed to “quickly” paint a Chaos Lord up for a friend’s birthday. I say quick, I am that busy at the moment this took me about a month.
I have actually painted this miniature once before, and I decided to mix it up a little bit, and changed the colour scheme a smidge.
Managed to get a little bit of this chap painted. Just working through the colour palette for him at the moment, some of his skin is likely to be fleshy coloured, as I always like there to be a hint in there that this used to be a man.
Obsidian Mallex is now complete!
I began this model some time ago, but I started getting pretty unwell literally as I sat there painting him, and haven’t touched the mini for about three months.
After spending some time recovering , I have finally got round to him again.
To be honest, you can tell I was a little ropey, as I am not particularly happy with the front of the model. But The cloak and the back of him doesn’t look too bad!
I am lucky enough to have got my hands on the new Chaos Lord, and decided to paint him up as Black Legion. I will very likely be painting this guy up for my Word Bearers too at some point.
Loads to do yet, lot of tidying up and such, but not too bad so far. Gorgeous model, so cool to be getting some unaligned Chaos models! 😀
My most recent Forge World model was the amazing Decimator Engine!
