Third and final five man squad of Word Bearers Legionaries for my army. I don’t think I will ever fully assemble a marine ever again before painting it, been a nightmare!
T’au Pathfinders
I have finished my son’s first squad for his T’au army. And a drone to go alongside it. He has affectionately called it “Reek”. Which is, you know, nice.
T’au Ethereal – D’yanoi test model
My son and I have started playing games of 40k together, and he decided his army is going to be T’au. I am not a huge fan of the T’au range of models, nothing specifically wrong with them, but never appealed to me to paint them. However I was surprised with this Ethereal test model, it was quick and quite fun to paint!
Sons of the Raven – Captain “Claw Lord” (??) Kovin
I have finished a model for my home brew Primaris Space Marine chapter, the Sons of the Raven.
After the test model I did, I wanted to add purple as the third colour, as it felt a bit too mono chrome.
Varanguard
Harlequin Death Jester
Painted up the old metal Harlequin Death Jester to go alongside the Shadowseer I did a few weeks back. Still amazing sculpts these.
Scarab Occult Terminators
I have painted up a second squad of Scarab Occult Terminators for my Thousand Sons army.
As with most projects these days, I built these models before painting them, and if I am honest, this was a mistake. They are such highly detailed models, especially when it comes to painting the helms, that they have suffered a bit. I am not saying they look awful, just not happy with them in bits.
Harlequin Shadowseer
Games Workshop recently put some classic Harlequins up for sale, and I immediately ordered them. They actually arrived super quick, so I decided to make a start on them by painting up the Shadowseer.
Rotbringer Sorcerer
I haven’t had much time to paint recently, and any free time I have had has been taken up with Elden Ring. However, I have managed to finish a Rotbringer Sorcerer for my Maggotkin army!
Argel Tal – The Crimson Lord, Commander of the Serrated Sun
As a general rule, I avoid painting resin miniatures. This isn’t because the designs are bad, but I find that if they aren’t vehicles with large flat surfaces, the resin just can’t handle the level of detail.
However, when Argel Tal came out, I knew I had to paint this fella. He is the first Possessed Chaos Space Marine, and his character is amazing too in the Heresy.
Some areas of the miniature hold up quite well, but sadly I still found myself frustrated with it towards the end. Would be great if Forge World could go full plastic.
